Direct-Vent Gas Fireplaces

Vanguard direct-vent fireplaces give you the attractiveness of a real wood burning fireplace with the economy, convenience and warmth of direct-vent gas heating. No chimney is required, so installation is at a fraction of the cost of installing a conventional wood burning fireplace. When paired with brass accent trim, brick liners, and cabinet mantles, these efficient fireplaces make an attractive, practival addition to any home.

Vanguard makes many styles of direct-vent fireplaces, with more installation options than conventional fireplaces. Vanguard fireplaces can be installed on a wall or in a corner, or can be open on three sides to protrude into the middle of a room for a unique, creative effect. The style shown at the left has been installed against an interior wall, and is open on two sides for a see-thru installation.

Blowers are offered in both manual and variable thermostatic models and maximize heat distribution. Thermostatic blowers turn on and off automtically. On/off switch or hand held remote control is available for all models.

Refractory Fireplaces

Bellfires refractory fireplaces are the ultimate for beauty and efficiency in conventional wood-burning fireplaces. Bellfire fireplaces feature a carefully designed firebox that radiates more heat into the room while minimizing creosote buildup. The Chimney Top

All Chimneys need a cap to stop rain, birds, squirrels. Proper chimney caps also discourage unwanted backdraft and help prevent fires by keeping sparks off the roof. CRU is an authorized dealer and installer of "The Chimney Top" stainless steel, galvanized and copper, chimney caps; the perfect way to top off a beautiful chimney.

Chimney Liners

Old chimneys can be very dangerous. Smoke, heat and sparks can escape from cracks in masonry and leak smoke into a home, or worse yet, start a deadly fire. Chimney liners are an effective way to seal cracks in chimneys, ensuring that smoke and heat does not escape in the wrong places. CRU can revive that old fireplace and chimney to make it safe and enjoyable again.

Chimney liners are also great for gas-fired heating appliances. These appliances create low-temperature, high moisture flue gas which can collect as acidic condensate on the inside of oversized, cold masonry chimneys. This acidic condensate is the primary cause of chimney deterioration. Proper installation of the right chimney liner will add years to your chimney's life.
